Release Studies of Ketoprofen Niosome Formulation
Anti-inflammatory drug ketoprofen was encapsulated in niosome for topical application. Ketoprofen niosome were prepared by thin film hydration method technique using surfactant, cholesterol, dicetyl phosphate & drug mixture in different weight ratios. The prepared niosomes were characterized by various physicochemical parameters & evaluation of release studies of entrapped ketoprofen in niosomes were carried out by UV Visible spectrophotometric method. Niosomes are surfactant vesicles which are used to entrap several pharmaceutical drugs to enhance their sustainability. The present research is attempt towards development of topical application of ketoprofen niosomes so that drug will reach to target site with enhance sustainability & stability.
