Synthesis of schiff base zinc metal complex (MAPIMP)2Zn and development of HPLC chromatographic method for its analysis

ABSTRACT:

A simple, fast and accurate method has been developed for the determination of (MAPIMP)2Zn by High Pressure Liquid Chromatography. The analysis was carried out on Waters 2695 separation module HPLC system with Waters 2487 Dual wavelength Absorbance detector. The column used was a stainless steel column of dimension 15 cm x 4.6 mm, packed with octadecylsilane bonded to porous silica ( Make : Neosphere 120-5-C18 Altima column is suitable ).The detector used was Ultraviolet ( UV ) detector. The validation of proposed method was also carried out.

ABSTRACT : The quantitation of civetone and normuscone in small Indian civet (Viverricula indica Desmarest) secretion cultivated in Thailand was analyzed by gas chromatography- mass spectrometry (GC-MS). Three main chemical constituents of small Indian civet secretion were civetone, dihydrocivetone and normuscone. The contents of chemical constituents were different between male and female secretion. Civetone (23.6 ± 1.5 µg/mg of secretion) was a major chemical constituent in the female secretion while normuscone (52.1 ± 5.9 µg/mg of secretion) was a major in the male secretion. Both civetone and normuscone were found in civet fur but not in the feces. Aromatic remedies which claimed to use the small Indian civet secretion as an ingredient showed both civetone and normuscone. Linearity range of civetone was 0-50 µg/ml with a correlation coefficient of 0.9717, and of normuscone was 0-80 µg/ml with a correlation coefficient of 0.9965.   ABSTRACT : Most of the bacterial pathogens are resistant to existing synthetic antibacterial agents demanding an increasing effort to seek effective phytochemicals as antibacterial agents against such pathogens. Nigella sativa L. (black cumin) seeds play an important role in folk medicine and some of its major constituents are reported to be pharmacologically active. In this present work, Nigellasativa seed extracts were obtained using maceration extraction by various solvents (water, ethanol, methanol, and cyclohexan). A Validated specific Stability-indicating RP-HPLC method for Aripiprazole and its related substances

ABSTRACT : A validated specific stability indicating reversed-phase liquid chromatographic method was developed for the quantitative determination of Aripiprazole and its related substances in bulk samples, pharmaceutical dosage forms in presence of degradation products. Forced degradation studies were performed on bulk sample of Aripiprazole as per ICH prescribed stress conditions using acid, base, oxidative, thermal stress and photolytic degradation to show the stability indicating power of the method. Significant degradation was observed during basic stress and no degradation was observed in other stress conditions. The chromatographic method was optimized using the samples generated from forced degradation studies and the impurity spiked with Aripiprazole.
