Development and Validation of Spectrophotometric Methods for the Estimation of Sparfloxacin in Tablet Dosage Forms


Abstract 


Two simple and sensitive visible spectrophotometric methods (A and B) have been developed for the quantitative estimation of sparfloxacin, inbulk drug and pharmaceutical dosage forms. Methods were based on the formation of coloured chromogens, which were measured at 549 nm and 465 nm, respectively. The results obtained withthe proposed methods are in satisfactory with the labeled amounts when tablet dosage forms were analysed
